Boko Haram Ambush Passengers, Release Muslims, Detain Christians

  ISWAP,  a deadly faction of the now-depleted Boko Haram Insurgents on Tuesday ambushed passengers on the Maiduguri- Tamsu Kawu-Ngamdu-Damaturu road. Naija News gathered that the terrorists abducted several passengers aboard eight commercial and private vehicles near a bridge between Tamsu Kawu and Ndamdu town at about 3PM. Multiple sources told Vanguard that most of the passengers were later taken to a river where they were released after reciting some verses in the Muslim faith, accept three persons suspected to be Christian’s who failed to do so, as they were detained at the time other victims were asked to go back. Anambra Election: Nine governorship candidates ask FG to release Nnamdi Kanu

  Nine candidates in the Nov. 6 Anambra gubernatorial election have called for the release of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB. This is as they also urged the Federal Government to demilitarise the South-East zone in a bid to stem the heightened tension in the area.   Former Presidential aide, Doyin Okupe, has called on the Federal government to release IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu.   Okupe who was the former Senior Special Assistant to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan on Public Affairs, said Kanu should be released if that would restore peace in the South-East geopolitical zone. Kim Kardashian suffered a "fashion emergency" while attending a show on Monday night.   During the show at the Museum of Modern Art on Monday night, November 1, when Kim Kardashian stood up to head to the stage to accept WSJ. Magazine’s 2021 Brand Innovator honor, her zip unzipped in the back. Sources said the zipper unzipped from the bottom of the dress upwards, nearly revealing her famous posterior to the room as she stood up. Nigeria owes China $3 billion as of 2020 – World Bank

  The World Bank says Nigeria has so far borrowed $3.121 billion (?1,126.68 trillion at USD/?361), from China as at March 2020, an amount which  represents only 3.94 per cent of Nigeria’s total public debt of $79.21 billion as of September 2021.   Similarly, in terms of external sources of funds, loans from China accounted for 11.28 per cent of the External Debt Stock of USD27.67 billion as of the same date. According to the World Bank, the total borrowing from China of USD 3.121 billion as of March 31, 2020, are concessional loans with interest rates of 2.50 per cent per annum with a tenor of 20 years and a grace period (moratorium) of seven years.   ‘These terms are compliant with the provisions of Section 41 (1a) of the Fiscal Responsibility Act, 2007. In addition, the low-interest rate reduces the interest cost to the government while the long tenor enables the repayment of the principal sum of the loans over many years.
