Fourth suspect in XXXTentacion murder arrested and jailed.

Police have arrested the fourth suspect in the shooting death of 20-year-old rapper XXXTentacion. 20-year-old Trayvon Newsome was taken into custody shortly before 5 p.m. on Tuesday, according to a statement posted by the Broward County Sheriff’s Office on Twitter. Newsome surrendered at his lawyer’s office in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and has been booked on charges of first-degree murder and robbery with a deadly weapon. Newsome was the last of the four suspects to be taken into custody following the arrests of Dedrick Williams, Michael Boatwright and Robert Allen . In July, a grand jury in Fort Lauderdale indicted all four men on charges of first-degree murder and armed robbery. XXXTentacion whose real name was Johseh Onfroy was fatally shot after leaving a motorcycle dealership in June. Senator Adeleke is having a case in the Osun State high court over his eligibility to contest the September 22 election. The siege to the National Assembly complex by operatives of the Department of State Services, DSS yesterday was inspired by constitutional disputations as to the requirements for the removal of a presiding officer of the Senate. Until recently, there had been no argument as to what the constitution as stipulated in Section 50(2)(c) meant. That section which reads that a presiding officer, shall be removed “from office by a resolution of the Senate or of the House of Representatives, as the case may be, by the votes of not less than two-thirds majority of the members of that House.” It had been understood to mean that the provision expressly requires two-thirds of the 109 members of the Senate. Egyptian goalkeeper Essam El-Hadary who set the record as the oldest player to feature at a World Cup during the just concluded Russia 2018 tournament has retired from internationals football. The 45-year-old, who won four Africa Cup of Nations, made his debut in 1996 and played 159 times for his country. He played Egypt's final group game in Russia, saving a penalty in the Pharaohs' 2-1 defeat by Saudi Arabia. "After 22 years, four months and 12 days, I saw it as the best moment to hang up my gloves. Liverpool have signed Brazil goalkeeper Alisson in a deal that makes the 25-year- old the world’s most expensive goalkeeper. Liverpool have announced the signing of Brazil international Alisson from Roma for a reported £65million, a deal that smashes the record for the world’s most expensive goalkeeper previously held by Gianluigi Buffon since 2001 Roma’s initial asking price for Alisson was £90m, quoted to Liverpool back in January but they decided to settle for a deal closer to £75m, and that the player was keen on a move to Merseyside. Liverpool will pay £56m up front for Alisson, with £2.2m of that going to his former club, Internacional. Comedian and TV host, Trevor Noah has been accused of racism after he made a joke that Africa won the 2018 World Cup because of the number of black players in the French national team. The South African comedian made the joke during his segment on The Daily Show, saying the victory was for Africa because most of the players have African root. He said on Monday: 'Africa won the World Cup. 'I get it, they have to say it's the French team. But look at those guys. You don't get that tan by hanging out in the south of France, my friends. 'Basically, if you don't understand, France is Africans' backup team. Once Senegal and Nigeria got knocked out, that's who we root for.' Venezuela President Nicolas Maduro in a statement also said: 'The French team seems like the African team, in reality Africa won, the African immigrants who arrived in France,' Maduro said at an event to celebrate police day in Venezuela on Monday. 

INEC to suspend voter registration till after 2019 elections

The Independent National Electoral Commission has said that the Continuous Voter Registration exercise will be suspended from August 17 , 2018 till after the 2019 general elections . It , however , said the time for registration and collection of PVCs will now take place from 9 am to 5pm everyday , as opposed to the 9am to 3 pm . The commission further stated that the distribution of cards and registration of new voters will no longer take place on weekdays only but will now hold on weekends also . The statement added , “ The CVR exercise will take place between 9am and 5pm instead of 9am - 3pm as obtains presently . “ There will also be registration on Saturdays and Sundays , as well as on public holidays (if any ) within the period. “ The exercise will be suspended at 5 pm on Friday , August 17 , until after the 2019 general elections . ”
