Report: Liverpool In Advanced Talks With Roma To Sign Goalkeeper Alisson Becker

Liverpool are in talks to sign Roma and Brazil goalkeeper
Alisson Becker
It is claimed that a fee of 70m euro has been offered by Liverpool, although
Roma want closer to 75m euro.
Alisson has been Jurgen Klopp’s number one transfer target to strengthen his
goalkeeping options but the fee had been considered prohibitive.
Premier League rivals Chelsea are another club to have been reported to have
an interest in the goalkeeper over fears that they may lose Thibaut Courtois
to Real Madrid.
There is, however, a growing confidence that a deal between Liverpool and
Roma can be agreed, with the Serie A side already believed to be eyeing up
replacements.
Present Liverpool first-choice goalkeeper Loris Karius has come under
criticism for his Champions League performance and subsequent displays in
pre-season.
Klopp has been fiercely loyal to the German keeper and had instead been
expected to throw down the gauntlet to Danny Ward to challenge for a place
beginning with the friendly against Blackburn Rovers on Thursday.
