Liverpool squad have returned home after their heartbreaking 3-1 defeat in the Champions League
final to Real Madrid on Saturday
The team landed at John Lennon airport on Sunday morning just hours after the final tournament
took place at the Olympic Stadium in Kiev, Ukraine.

 Goalkeeper Loris Karius , who made two costly errors that gifted Madrid two of their three goals, was
pictured hiding his face as he walked onto the airport runway.
Also spotted at the airport was Liverpool and Egyptian star Mohammed Salah , who had to be
substituted in the 26 minutes of the game following a tussle with Madrid captain Sergio Ramos that
saw him dislocated his shoulder.

PDP: Reconciliation move breaks down

THE Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, runners up in the party’s governorship primary, Dr Akin Ogunbiyi, has declared that he was still in the race, adding that he has not stepped down for the candidate of the party, Senator Ademola Adeleke. Senator Adeleke is having a case in the Osun State high court over his eligibility to contest the September 22 election. A statement by the campaign organization of Dr Ogunbiyi reads: “The attention of Dr Akin Ogunbiyi has been drawn to a misinformation going round that Dr Akin Ogunbiyi has signed an agreement and withdrawn for Senator Ademola Adeleke. “We wish to put the records straight.
