Martinez plays down Hazard knock
Roberto Martinez has played down injury fears over Eden Hazard after Belgium's
captain limped out of Monday's 4-1 friendly win over Costa Rica.
The Belgium captain had to hobble off in the 70th-minute after taking a blow to
his foot but Martinez said after the match that the injury is not serious.
"Eden is OK," said Martinez. "He had a little trouble, but it's nothing to worry
about."
Hazard had been in good form prior to leaving the pitch, setting up a goal for
Romelu Lukaku as the Belgians came back from a goal down to run out
comfortable winners.
"I really enjoyed his performance," said Martinez.
"He was sharp and strong, he was majestic.
"At the end he just came off because he had a little bit of a dead leg, a little bit of
a knock on his leg."
Lukaku took his international goals tally to 36 as he scored either side of half-
time before creating a goal for Michy Batshuayi.
Belgium are now on an 18-match unbeaten run, ahead of their World Cup Group G
opener with Panama next Monday.
Lukaku told Belgian TV: "I think we have made progress. We did not lose, it's
important. We scored a lot of goals tonight.
"We will still progress before the match against Panama and we will give 120 per
cent against them. We will continue to make progress later."
